Officer- Employee Welfare & Industrial Relations – SML Packaging Solutions Bangladesh Ltd.

Job Context
The primary purpose of this position is to carry out the regular / assigned activities and tasks related to the welfare of the employees of the company. This position will address the grievances (if any) of the employees and help to resolve those as per law and company policy. This position will also maintain the communication channel and act as a bridge between the employees and management of the company.
Job Location: Adamjee EPZ, Ashulia & Dhaka City

Job Responsibilities
Ensure all welfare activities are driven according to Bangladesh Labor Law, Labor Rules, BEPZA Law & Company HR Policy and Procedures, as well as Company Strategy Roadmap
Maintain communication with factory workers & act as an effective liaison with Management
Prepare & Maintain all official records on Welfare Management
Listen to the problems of the workers and counsel them to resolve those
Check the suggestion / complain box on regular basis and prepare feedback; Collect employee grievances and solve them with utmost priority
Disciplinary Action- investigation, committee formation, show-cause, warning / intimation etc.
Prepare Training Plan for the full year & facilitate the regular Training & Awareness Programs
Prepare & maintain all Resources & Records for the training and awareness sessions
Arrange feedback on the training and ensure improvement plan after proper assessment
Ensure a hygienic and healthy atmosphere in the workplace; Follow-up and monitor health & safety issues of all employees
Ensure all signs, notices, lists, documents etc. are in the proper manner throughout the factory
WPC and/or WWA- formation, election processing and execution
Arrange regular meeting with elected members and maintain good rapport with them
Update service record for all employees
Coordinate with BEPZA Counselors and Auditors on regular intervals
Monitoring factory discipline and security measures
Arrange Exit Interviews and give feedback to management
Any other tasks as & when necessary & assigned by the Management

Educational Requirements
An ideal candidate should have Honors / Bachelors / Master degree from recognized university in Commerce / Business Studies; PGD in Compliance will be a value addition
Experience Requirements
1 to 3 year(s)
Additional Requirements
The ideal applicant should have minimum 01 to 03 (one to three) years of relevant experience in similar industry

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills – able to analyze and solve problems
Soft-spoken & Gentle; well conversant in English & Bangla
Bangla typing and speech delivery (public speaking)
Basic training on Fire Fighting & First Aid
Pro-active, friendly, smart & hard-working
Tactical & Patient; Sympathetic & Compassionate
A good listener and pleasant orator
Well organized in managing multiple tasks & maintaining deadlines
Familiar with MS Office and other software including ERP system
