Job Context
Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED), a National NGO, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh, is going to implement DANIDA funded `Accountable Governance for Disaster Risk Reduction in Cox`s Bazar` project at host communities of Rajapalong and Palongkhali Union in Ukhiya Upazila under Cox`s Bazar district. For effective and efficient implementation of the project, SHED invites interested and potential candidates to apply for the above-mentioned position. Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities
Overall responsibility of planning, implementation, monitoring and coordination of project activities;
Drafting annual, quarterly and monthly plans, budget and reports;
Provide technical guidance to, and mobilize logistic supports for, and supervise the project staff for effective implementation of project activities;
Day to day monitoring of project progress;
Guide the project team in organizing communities and support community based organizations for their organizational and technical capacity building;
Management capacity development of project staffs and volunteers through mentoring and coaching;
Drafting the capitalization documents on project achievements;
Coordination and maintain liaison with government bodies and key stakeholders;
Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/management.

Educational Requirements
Masters degree in any discipline
Preference will be given to post graduate degree in Social Science and Development Studies

Experience Requirements
At least 5 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
At least 2 years experience in sililar position, At least 5 years relevant NGO experience
Additional Requirements
Familiar with bio-physical and socioeconomic condition of Cox’s Bazar region;
Skills in project cycle management;
Basic understanding on issues of Good Governance and Disaster Risk Reduction;
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point);
Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali;
Pro-active and participatory decision-making and problem-solving;
Ability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds;
Possess valid Motor Cycle driving license.
