Assistant Project Officer- BRAC – Cox’s Bazar

Job Context
BRAC is one of the world`s leading development organisation. Since 1972 BRAC is dedicated to alleviating poverty and empowerment of the poor. In continuation to that, BRAC has taken Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila of Cox`s Bazar district to support the displaced people arriving from the Rakhine state of Myanmar and host community people.

Job Responsibilities
Receive and issue food items with maintaining proper records in professional manner as well as maintain inventory and delivery sheet separately.
Ensure proper distribution of food items like safe received, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch and maintain register as per P.O sheet.
Maintain store ledger and keep it update all time as well as assist Project Officer for preparing weekly, monthly and yearly distribution statement.
Issue food items against approved SR.
Maintain close relationship with WFP Warehouse for effective and efficient logistics support and distribution of food items.
Maintain close relationship and contact with relevant managements and support units specially Procurement, Finance, Admin, Logistics within organization and try to assist them as maximum as possible.
Ensure smooth distribution and update Project Officer of any relevant issue.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Both males and females are allowed to apply
Minimum 1 year of working experience with logistics and warehouse management or food distribution.
Have Ability to use computers and have knowledge of MS Office, Excels.
Have ability on data processing of the inventory in the computer.
Have willingness to live and work in difficult and rapidly changing conditions.
