NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Civil Quality Technician for employment with one of our prospective clients working to set up a grid-tied solar power plant in Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with material testing of a variety of different construction materials, including but not limited to concrete, grout, aggregate, asphalt and soil.
Perform site inspections and field testing for sampling/compaction and/or construction inspections.
Maintain daily checklists and quality control reports.
Assist in equipment management/control/maintenance/certification.
Perform sampling, transporting, delivering test samples to designated testing laboratories
Report to the supervisor on a daily basis on the status of all assigned tasks and related site activities.
Assist in maintaining a working environment that is compliant with industry standard and health and safety regulations.
Review, track, summarize Quality Assurance non-conformances and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Ensure the safe and organized status of materials and equipment in storage and field areas.
Maintain all assigned equipment in good condition at all times.
Assist in geotechnical investigations and inspections.
Perform all other tasks directly or indirectly involved with the quality control standards of the company as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Educational Requirements
Relevant trade course or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience Requirements
At least 5 year(s)
Additional Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role on civil construction environment; hands-on experience in construction materials testing and inspection of subgrade including proof-rolling, caissons and driven piles will be beneficial.
Proven ability to utilize current testing gadgets and proficient user of computer software such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong team spirit.
Physical fitness to work outdoors, perform in a fast paced environment and heavy lifting.
