Director Program – Nari Uddug Kendra – Dhaka

Job Description / Responsibility
Nari Uddug Kendra (NUK), is a gender and human rights responsive advocacy,networking and partnership organization mandated to promote gender equality and a human rights and fostering personal and political empowerment of women and girls in Bangladesh. NUK is a pioneer in the areas of gender and globalization, addressing gender in governance issues and using sports and physical activities (Karate) as a tool for defending violence against women and girls and women`s empowerment.
NUK is currently seeking an experienced highly dedicated to women`s empowerment agenda, having log working experience with NGOs, women`s movement in the NUK`s top management team . This is a full time position responsible for leading, directing the strategic development and overall planning, organizing , supervision and monitoring the organizational and programming direction in the central level. More specifically,
• The Diroctor Programs shall render entire operational activities through functioning and managing the Project Support Unit consisted by the program heads, section chief, senior and mid level management staff of NUK;
• Promote and strengthen the Organizational Development, Institutional Capacity Building and Human Resource Development in view of NUK’s mission, goal and objectives;
• Initiate new programs, policy formulation and operational strategy development;
• Coordinate with the Administration and Finance Management of the Organization;
• Represent NUK’s program in national and international level.
• Plan, design, implement and coordinate all the program components of covering NUK’s all operational projects;
• Lead resource mobilization, donor liaison,develop projects proposals, and donor management;
• Assist all Project Coordinators by advising on the implementation of the activities and follow-up their activity plan and performance regularly;
• Maintain regular follow-up on the implementation of the activities within the project period;
• Supervise the progress monitoring and evaluation of NUK’s project operation and preparation of necessary reports including the weekly, monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual progress reports as required;
• Liaison with the project area, maintain field administration, preparation of progress report with indicating corrective measures, initiate modified improvements and execution;
• Maintain necessary contacts with relevant government officials/departments and other NGOs and NUKs partners as appropriate;
• Assist in designing and management of NUK’s training activities including the curriculum development, organize, conduct and facilitate the training programs and prepared training.
• Plan, design and organize different advocacy programs and lobbying, networking activities of NUK;
• Attend different seminar, workshop and training session, related to NUK’s program and represent NUK to different national and international organizations and groups;
• Plan organize and conduct seminar, workshops, and conferences in local and national level and preparation of the relevant reports and documents;
• Prepare different information documents and training manuals, materials, posters, booklets and brochures;
• Provide general advisory and updates about the overall progress of the activities to the Executive Director and support her overall work as and when required;
• Extend any other assistance to specific requirements of NUK.

Educational Requirements
Candidate must have master`s degree in Social Sciences/ Anthropology/ women/gender or development studies/ business administration from any recognized university from national/international universities.
