Manager – Sponsorship – ActionAid Bangladesh – Dhaka

Job Description / Responsibility
Department : Resources Mobilization
Unit : Sponsorship
Types of contract : Regular Contract
Key responsibilities include (not limited to)
People management
Team building
Reporting, budget preparation and budget monitoring
Internal and external communication, specially communication with partners, ActionAid International and supporters
Provide strategic input as a member of the Extended Leadership Team
Enhance Efficiency at Country Programme and Partner level
Position specific:
Coordinate sponsorship activities at Partner / Local Rights Program (LRP) and Country Program to raise and retain sponsorship fund. Maintain linkage between program and sponsor child; Coordination and negotiation with Asia Region for ensuring smooth fund flow;
Prepare three yearly child profile growth plan, phase out plan and share with Senior Leadership Team, Funding Affiliates and ActionAid regional office;
Coordinate and participate in LRP appraisal, Mid Term Review and Phase-out of LRPs;
Develop 3 years’ plans & budgets of sponsorship unit;
Participate in Participatory Review and Reflection Process (PRRPs), plans and budget and strategic plan development of LRPs.
Relationships: This position reports to Deputy Director – Resource Mobilization of ActionAid Bangladesh. S/he maintains a functional relationship with peers in team, Priorities and Local Rights Progaramme Directorate (LRPD). The incumbent will maintain liaison and networking in ActionAid International / Federation , other Country Programmes and supporters.

Educational Requirements
Masters Degree, preferably in Social Sciences/Education or relevant field;

Experience Requirements
Minimum 6 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements
At least 6 years experience in managing development program of which 2 years in management position. Having professional expertise in managing budget, staff and partners;
Has good understanding on sponsorship funding;
Hands on experience in Team building;
Planning and Review;
Independent Decision Making;
Good knowledge in the field of Human Rights Based Approach;
Understanding of child rights issues;
Adequate knowledge in financial management and respect towards value for money;
Negotiations and communication;
Team management;
