Nurse Aide – Medecins Sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

Job Context
Assisting in the nursing activities with hospitalized patients, according to nurses and doctors prescription, universal hygiene standards and MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients

Job Responsibilities
Showing flexibility in terms of working in an emergency set up to deal with COVID-19.
Care for patients with critical illness and under palliative care according to instructions of the nurse following MSF protocols and patient care guidelines and protocols.
Abide to the IPC protocols and standards set up in the Covid-19 facilities.
Dealing with the patient caretakers and making sure they are managed in accordance to MSF guidelines.
Being able to adapt to stress precipitated by unknown circumstances as a result of an outbreak.
Willing to work extra hours and days when asked by the manager, beyond the normal working hours.
Willing to work in different shifts; Night and Day shifts and also long 12 to 14 hour shifts.
Being flexible to work in different departments to treat and care for patients as required.
Being prepared to relocate to Ukhyia district while working for the COVID-19 response.
Work well and coordinate with the medical team in terms of dealing with high number of patients.

Nurse-aide diploma required

Language: Local language essential. Mission language desirable
