Operations Director – Green Hill Rangamati – Cox’s Bazar

Job Context
Green Hill is a Bangladeshi nonprofit organization that is working with their technical/donor partner (G2A) to expand access to quality emergency services and generate the resources, local capacity and coordination necessary for partners and the community to meet their own health and community needs.

Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the CD, provide leadership, supervision, and oversight of operations and financial management to ensure the most efficient use of resources
Responsible for partners’ preparation of timely project reports, information, and communication
Coordinate and cooperate with G2A Senior Management Team
Under the guidance of the CD, liaise with Government of Bangladesh
Stay up to date on South and Southeast Asia political and security situations
Assist CD to prepare program reports to donors
Fulfill role of security focal point (see separate file outlining SFP roles and responsibilities)

Regular Responsibilities
Communicate weekly with Country Director to provide operations updates
Participate as necessary in internal meetings to present major operational updates
Review financial reports and budgets
Ensure G2A policies and procedures are in place
Facilitate monthly partner monitoring visits and produce field visit reports
Monitor local social and security contexts for significant changes and alert CD as necessary
Manage day-to-day operations of G2A office
Provide feedback and guidance to staff as needed
Partner Support
Ensure strong collaborative partner relationships based on principles of mutual trust and respect, mutual accountability, reciprocity, inclusion, and transparency
Communicate effectively through all available channels and provide written documentation of all decisions and discussions with local partners.
Meet monthly with local partners to ensure that reports are submitted in accordance with G2A guidelines
Ensure partner organizations are compliant with G2A ‘s minimum required financial standards
Assist local partners in preparing reports to G2A as needed
Prepare or facilitate meetings and/or trainings with partners as needed
Carry out duties in a manner that promotes equity and respect for all G2A ‘s local partners by understanding their norms, culture and local context
Sustain good relationships and coordination with local partners, authorities and other relevant organizations
Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Administration
Coordinate and monitor logistics and procurement procedures to ensure completion in a timely manner in accordance with G2A policies and procedures
Coordinate and monitor finance procedures to ensure completion in a timely manner in accordance with G2A policies and procedures
Oversee implementation of office policies and procedures
Human Resources
With Country Director, assist recruitment of G2A staff for Bangladesh operation in accordance with G2A ‘s standard procedures
With HR team, lead the onboarding and orientation of new staff members
Act as HR Focal Point and work closely with HQ HR Team on HR Day-to-Day Operations
Organization Representation
Ensure full project understanding and compliance by all staff and partners through training, guidance and support
Represent G2A at conferences, working groups, and meetings to support G2A ‘s thought leadership

Educational Requirements
Master of Development Studies (MDS), Master of Business Management (MBM)
Experience Requirements
At least 5 year(s)
Additional Requirements
Age 35 to 40 years
Proven staff management and team building skills
Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
Fluent in written and spoken English and report writing skills
Excellent software skills for MS Word, Excel, Power point
Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing professional environment
Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds
