Nutrition TA – Save the Children

The role

We are currently looking for NUTRITION TA to be based in Bangladesh.

Role Purpose

Nutrition in emergency advisor (TA)- expected to lead designing, planning and coordination of emergency nutrition responses, policy engagement and advocacy outcomes and strengthen the relevant capacity at the CO and shape broader SCI sector strategies, ensuring the specific needs of children are being addressed, through engaging with nutrition partners (UN/NGO ,through active participation in inter-agency coordination forums such as the Nutrition Sector Working Group).

Qualifications and experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic/professional qualification at post graduate level or equivalent in public health and/or nutrition.
Essential

Substantial technical experience (at least 5 years) and a track record of success on nutrition programming, including CMAM and/or IYCF and C-MAMI
Experience in donor relation, proposal development (UNICEF PCA, WFP FLA, ECHO, DEFID and pool fund)
Demonstrable experience in program design, and budget formulation, monitoring, reporting
Experience working with cluster , SAG and chairing TWG in emergency
Sound strategic thinking and planning skills, including ability to think creatively and innovate and to set priorities, manageable work plans and evaluate progress.
Skills/Ability required

Knowledge, training and experience in nutrition in emergency response
Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation and monitoring.
Demonstrated skills in peer group training, Training of Trainers and development of training materials.
Strong computer and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Good command in written and spoken English.
Respect of Save the Children rules by anyone visiting the program;
Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours.
Contract length: 6 months (6 months, with possibility to extend based on funding)
