Deputy Manager – Warehouse – Save the Children

Job Description / Responsibility
• The position is responsible for ensuring overall administrative concerns/matters leading to the successful storage, accounting and disbursement of materials, equipment and goods related to the Rohingya Response Program.
• S/he will ensure the receiving, warehousing and distribution operations properly by coordinating with the relevant programs as well as country office Procurement team and also ensure that expired/damaged and/or suspected expired/damaged stuffs are segregated properly.
• Managing Warehouse Staffs; monitoring their regular activities; building their capacity as well as provide support as and when required and different types of reporting related to stock transactions are some other key responsibilities.

Educational Requirements
Master’s Degree, preferably in Business Studies or relevant discipline, considering the experience educational qualification may be relaxed.

Experience Requirements
• At least 5 year(s)

Job Requirements
• At least 5 years’ demonstrated experience in managing large warehouse, preferably in emergency context.
• S/he is expected to have sound understanding and expertise of staff management as well as different types of reporting related to warehousing.
• Excellent skill of monitoring day-to-day activities; ability to work under pressure; understanding on security measure of the warehouse premises; proficiency in MS office as well as good communication skill both in English and Bangla.
