Chief Financial Officer – Dhaka – Direct Fresh Limited

Job Description / Responsibility
• The CFO will be a strategic thought-partner, and report to the Managing Director of Direct Fresh Ltd. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources and administration. The CFO and Administration will play a critical role in partnering with the leadership team in strategic decision making and operations. This is a tremendous opportunity for a finance and operations leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization. Applicants with educational degrees from the USA or UK will be given special preference. CPA’s will also be given special preference. Must have perfect written and spoken English; excellent presentation, relationship and negotiation skills. Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct projects; solid analytical and technical skills are a must.
• Finance responsibilities to include: financial analysis, forecasting/ budgeting and management reporting. Duties include: preparing financial analyses, maintaining and distributing monthly internal financial reports for executive management, supporting management on ad hoc analyses, analyzing results of operations including actual vs. budget variances, maintaining and updating forecast models, streamlining and improving current work flows and assisting on a multitude of special projects.
• Financial Management:
• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate daily, monthly and annual financial statements; including: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, ratio analysis.Collate financial reporting materials for all business segments, and oversee all financial, project accounting.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with senior management; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
• Manage organizational cash flow for up to four companies and forecasting on a daily, weekly, and yearly basis.
• Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedures.
• Keep up to date all accounts receivables, payables, and customer invoicing.
• Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to partners for both BG Interactive and Direct Fresh and other companies.
• Work with local government offices to facilitate work permits, TAX and VAT documents including customs and import/export processes.

• Complete the preparation of financial reports and briefings. This area includes tax returns for up to five companies, balance statements, and any legislative requirements such as reporting and disclosure.
• Ensure that all financial matters are in accordance with legislation and ethical accounting practices.
• Experience with the preparation and implementation of tender documents and purchasing practices is a must.
• Potentially, responsibility for company insurance, licensing, contracts, supplier relationships, and import-export requirements.
• Human Resources Administration:
• Further develop bGlobal and Direct Fresh’s human resources and administration, enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruiting.
• Ensure that recruiting processes are consistent and streamlined.
• Establish and manage a comprehensive training program to educate employees regarding staff tools, policies and procedures.
• Work closely and transparently with all external partners including third-party vendors and consultants.
• Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.
• Supervisory responsibility for payroll.
• Strategic Duties:
• Advise the partners and board of directors on financial strategy and its impact on company objectives. They should also have input into company objectives and whether they are realistic given the current and projected financial situation.
• Regularly receive financial reports and compare sales and income targets and projections against the reported figures. They should then suggest improvements to projection methods and analyze any failings.
• Assist the CEO’s and partners in sourcing prospects for future income by analyzing financial trends and any gaps in the market or potential opportunities.
• Participate in financial, human resources and strategic planning.
• Supervisory responsibility for accounting procedures.
• Provide direction and leadership to the department.

Job Nature

Educational Requirements
Minimum of a B.A. In accounting, finance, management and operations. Ideally with an MBA/CPA or related degree. Persons with a CPA will score higher and carry a higher weight.

• 7 to 10 year(s)

Job Requirements
• At least 7-10 years of overall professional experience; ideally 6+ years of broad financial and operations management experience
• The ideal candidate has experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant project area. This is to include taxation matters in both Bangladesh, the United States and the United Kingdom.
• Technology savvy and experience with QUICKBOOKS ENTERPRISE is mandatory.
• A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
• A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
• 30-45 years of age.
• Strong Budgeting / Forecasting experience
• Good Negotiating skills
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills
• Good Communication is a must (Will be working extensively with executive management)
