Job Responsibilities
To teach undergraduate and graduate courses in English language and literature. This includes preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, and evaluating student performance.
To develop course syllabi, course materials, and teaching methodologies that are current, relevant, and effective in promoting student learning.
To engage in ongoing research in English literature areas of expertise. This includes publishing research articles in peer-reviewed journals, presenting papers at academic conferences, and collaborating with other researchers in the field.
For mentoring and advising students in their academic and career pursuits. This includes advising students on course selection, providing guidance on career paths, and assisting with academic and personal issues as needed.
To serve on departmental and university committees, participate in academic events and activities, and engage in community outreach and service projects.
To engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and seminars related to their field of expertise.
To collaborate with colleagues in the Department of English and across the university to promote academic excellence and facilitate the achievement of the university’s strategic goals.
Other duties as needed by the Department of English and the university. These may include administrative tasks, such as participating in faculty meetings, reviewing and evaluating student work, and contributing to the development of academic policies and procedures.
Assist in the administration of the department, such as student recruitment and retention, budget management, and accreditation-related activities.

Educational Requirements
The candidate should hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in English with at least two first-class/division/A-grade results throughout their academic career. Additionally, the candidate must have achieved at least one first-class/division/A-grade result in either their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, along with a minimum of two publications. Furthermore, the candidate should have at least one first-author publication.
The candidate should hold a M.Phil. or an Equivalent Degree in English, with at least two First Classes/ Divisions/ A Grade results throughout their academic career, along with a minimum of two publications. Additionally, the candidate should have at least one first-author publication.
The candidate should hold a Master with four or three years Bachelor Degree holder in English, with at least three First Classes/ Divisions/ A Grade throughout the academic Career, along with a minimum of three publications. Additionally, the candidate should have at least two first-author publications.

Additional Requirements
Age at most 40 years
Minimum of two years experience is required for a Ph.D. holder candidate.
Minimum of three years experience is required for a M.Phil. holder candidate.
Minimum of three years experience is required for a Master degree holder candidate.
For those with experience at the college or research institute level, half of that experience will be considered. College-level experience will be applicable only for relevant honors and master courses. Additionally, experience gained from a research institute should be properly recognized.
