Job Responsibilities
The Web Designer will report to the CARE Component 1 Project Director, with the technical supervision of the Digital Systems and Data Integrator, shall have the following specific tasks in working with the Systems Development Team:
Create and maintain visually appealing and easy-to-use DSSs web designs that meet user requirements
Develop, design, and maintain DSSs layouts and templates
Use a variety of software and coding languages to create digital media such as websites, graphics, animations, and videos
Create design for the DSSs framework including dashboards, which are comprised, among others, of climate-informed products for different decision contexts of users/stakeholders
Design UI/UX for sector-specific profile modules including, but not limited to, data entry option for administrators, advisories for various decision contexts of users/stakeholders, and other climate-informed products as demanded by stakeholder institutions/users
Validate/confirm with relevant members of the CARE Component 1 Team the web design prior to and after completing the same, and implement revisions, as needed
Implement a robust set of functional features and services to power the frontend of the web application/design
Integrate current technologies/trends/designs into the DSSs web designs
Create and maintain a web design implementation documentation including relevant and sufficient details on wireframes, prototypes, design specifications, and implementation guidelines
Ensure that all digital media created is optimized for search engines and is responsive to different devices
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
Work collaboratively with other team members, such as developers, copywriters, and climate applications specialists to ensure cohesive and effective end-products

Educational Requirements
Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
Skills Required: CSS3, Flask (backend) and Angular JS (frontend, Google Map, JavaScript, Python Django REST, Time Management, Web Front End Development, web map
Experience Requirements
At least 5 year(s)
