Library Executive – Chittagong – The British Council

Job Description / Responsibility
British Council invites applications for the position of Library Executive (Pay band – 2, locally appointed)
The successful applicant will be expected to:
support in organising events for the Library and circulate the information to different departments as appropriate
visit institutions and corporate bodies monthly to promote Library membership and other activities of the Centre.
receive cash and registering members from the front counter of the Library.
support Library Officer to promote Book Reading Corporation in different places in Chittagong including Cox’sbazar.
working with young learners’ (aged below 18) and provide support in any of the occasions of book reading and young learners’ activity.
perform all other administrative tasks and manage the customer database and promote any other events taking place in Chittagong.

Educational Requirements
University graduation in any discipline

Additional Job Requirements
And will have the following skills and experience:
good communication skills
sound computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
minimum one year of experience in a reputed organisation
experience of working with children

Salary Range
TK. 27775

Other Benefits
Transport allowance of Tk.7,500 per month plus other benefits according to the organisation’s policy
