General Manager – Triton Textile – Dhaka

Job Responsibilities
Source factory base in Bangladesh, Negotiate cost prices, Manage quality levels
Manage capacity planning and MOQ’s , Negotiate payment terms, Meet CSR standards
Lead in country sourcing strategy to deliver targets
Liaison with Stakeholders:
Liaise with Managing Director & HQ Financial Controller (Hong Kong) to ensure communication of in country variables
New developments in country infrastructure
New key players and investors
Changes in the regulatory environment
Cultural norms and expectations
Ensure communications are timely accurate and comprehensive for business purpose
Supplier Management:
Educate supplier base to meet company expectations through comprehensive induction which includes standards regarding quality , packaging, etc
Monitor supplier performance to ensure agreed performance criteria are met and appropriate corrective actions are implemented where required
Regular reporting on supplier performance to relevant Group Stakeholders
Ensure on time shipments, Manage quality of shipped merchandise, meets approved standards per preproduction samples
Ensure shipment packaging is as per purchase order and group manual
Ensure timely and accurate paperwork as group standards and operations procedures
Support for the Group Merchandise Teams:
Build Concept to Customer timeline for spring/ summer and autumn/ winter development and advise best time and frequency of travel
Provide advice and arrangements for buying trips
Prepare suppliers and product teams so buying trip objectives are realistically set and accomplished as planned
Provide market intelligence that is relevant to the needs of the various brands and their customer profile
Achievement of Bangladesh growth target in FOB value
Attend seasonal review with product teams to track and rate KPIs such as clarity and completeness of tech packs; timely approval of approvable lab dips and samples, etc
Screening and evaluating capacity of new supplier according to buyer requirements
Lead and advise Divisions Manager to work actively with merchandising team
Financial Management:
Operate within budget, deliver financial targets set by company, comply with local regulations in financial arrangements
Comply with company accounting standard s in accordance with local tax regulation
Team Leadership:
Build and develop team to deliver sourcing strategy, Create an environment promoting business integrity and social compliance to the Company Code of Conduct
Comply with local labor regulations, meet team member retention targets, Cary out performance appraisals, compensation strategy

Educational Requirements
Graduate from reputable institute or Post Graduate with considerable experiences with market leader of apparel Merchandising.

Experience Requirements
At least 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements
Minimum 10 years in managing a foreign buying house (garments)
This senior Managerial Level job should have over 10 years of experience where minimum 3 years of senior management experience working in buying office
Very strong experience in Knit, woven & sweater product
Commitment to excellence and be able to train up the team
Strong sense of responsibility
Strong team leadership and management skills
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Language proficiency in English, French and German
