Coordinator – Fundraising – SKS Foundation – Dhaka

Job Responsibilities
SKS Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) working in Bangladesh since 1987 with poor and marginalized population including char dwellers, ethnic minority, landless and marginal farmers. With multisectoral activities, our mission is to fight against social, economic and environmental unjust and deprivation; and promote comprehensive livelihood security of the poor and disadvantaged through improving their access to development opportunities and resources.
This is a mid-level position based in Dhaka
The position requires field visits; and is reportable to Deputy Chief Executive.

Educational Requirements
Masters’ degree in any discipline (preferably, Economics, Management, Journalism, Development Studies, Marketing, Sociology, Anthropology or Business Administration) from any recognized University.
Experience Requirements
3 to 5 year(s)

Additional Requirements
Applicants with fundraising, donor communication, knowledge management background would be preferred. Writing fluency in English with good communication skills would be the core area of competency for this position. Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience either in corporate, INGO, consultancy firms, research or development sector is required. For women applicant with extraordinary potentials the experience bar may be relaxed.
Basic knowledge on resource mobilization, institutional donors, fundraising market and development partners in Bangladesh are also needed. Computer literacy on the use of common softwareis an essential requirement. Experience to deal with INGOs, Government officials and donors is desirable. The applicant must be a self-motivated, gender sensitive and child caring person with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
