Job Description / Responsibility

We build transparency across global supply chains by implementing scalable web and mobile technologies. Our solutions monitor working conditions, track social impact, promote fair wages and communicate directly with workers at the base-of-the-pyramid.
Labor Link, our flagship product, uses mobile phones to connect directly with factory and farm workers through surveys and broadcasts. Surveys are designed to measure working conditions, job satisfaction and worker needs, and track the effectiveness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. In a few short years, Labor Link has reached over 150,000 farmers and workers in 14 countries, including Brazil, China and India, giving respondents an anonymous reporting channel and giving companies/factories real-time data from their supply chains.
We are searching for an experienced project manager who will be in charge of leading Bangladesh operations. You will liaise with factory managers, clients, trainers and/or technology providers to build buy-in and ensure effective service implementation. A fast-paced organization with a small staff, we are looking for a self-starter who can hit the ground running.
Act as primary liaison with Bangladesh-based client representatives including country directors, executive directors, ethical trading and compliance managers, etc.
Meet with factory management at Labor Link survey sites to build buy-in and ensure successful survey implementation
Identify and manage high-quality trainers to launch surveys at target factories
Identify and manage high-quality, low-cost service providers such as translation firms, voice talent firms, and printing companies
Support new business development by meeting with new or potential client leads
Liaise with external stakeholders including government officials, labor representatives, etc.
Liaise with strategic partners to maximize Labor Link penetration through their networks
Make recommendations to enhance Labor Link survey implementation and service delivery in Bangladesh

Additional Job Requirements
5+ years’ experience working in Bangladesh’s ready-made garments (RMG) sector; 3+ years involving direct communication with brand representatives and/or factory management
Demonstrated knowledge of factory auditing and corporate social responsibility (CSR) a must
Strong understanding of business and regulatory operating environment in Bangladesh
Fluency in Bengali and exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
Self-starter with proven ability to work independently on multiple projects and priorities at once, execute complex projects and activities on time and within budget
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
Prior experience in relationship and project management for a foreign or multinational corporation a plus
Knowledge of impact investment, ICT4D and/or global supply chain management a plus
