Job Description / Responsibility
The Program officer- Nutrition & behavior change is responsible to deliver, monitoring, and evaluation of nutrition program activities at the community level. S/he will facilitate implementation of community level nutrition interventions, will organize awareness rising programme in the community level & establish linkage with relevant actors, service providers (GOB and other social/commercial brand suppliers/pharmaceutical companies).
Under the direct supervision of Nutrition Specialist, coordinate and facilitate implementation of program deliverables at Community level
Assume responsibility for ongoing program activities at the designated field site.
Participate in the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition projects, including nutrition surveys, selective feeding programs, and nutrition education at respective sites.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with partners, local organizations and community groups.
Under the guidance of the Nutrition Specialist and Nutrition officer will provide ongoing assistance, capacity building and training for partners and community groups.
Facilitate program implementation by partners and community groups and linkages with other service facilities at upazila, union’s level.
Oversee the identification, development, or acquisition of appropriate resources to support technical components of the program including written translation of materials.
Participate in development of evaluation tools, and compile and enter data into computer data base for program evaluations and surveys.
Provide information for analysis and reporting.
Document lessons learned, and support for learning and advocacy.
Provide technical input/support to effectively implement the of research agenda
Establish network with different stockholders particularly with Partners, GoB officials i.e. Ministry of Health and Family Planning (MOH&FW), agriculture departments and other research organizations

Educational Requirements
University degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Health, Nutrition, Health education or a field relevant to international public health development

Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements
A minimum of 3 years’ progressive working experience with INGOs in community nutrition Experience in behavioral change communication package, menu-planning, nutrition counseling, food quality, growth monitoring & promotion (GMP) etc.
The Nutritionist must be able to interpret nutrition assessment data, provide nutrition counseling to families, and in other ways promote good nutrition habits in children and families
Have the experience and ability to delivery of a comprehensive, high quality nutrition program.
Excellent English skills, written and oral, required.
Ability to work effectively with remote area.
Proven ability on Nutrition Program
Proven ability to work in a intercultural environment
Effective communication skills
Willingness to travel extensively across the country

Salary Range
Negotiable
